Xbox 360 Backward compatibility is achieved through software emulation of the original Xbox game console. Emulated games make it possible for older Xbox games to be played in your new Xbox 360 game console. Doing so would allow the gamer with a few benefits on the side.

For one, the Xbox 360 is able to offer graphical enhancements because the old games are rendered in 720p, 1080i, or 1080p video resolution with anti-aliasing enabled rather than the older Xbox standard of 480p. Graphics become clearer and crispers and may even enhance the way the game is being played with a more powerful processor in store.

Some older Xbox games may also benefit from a great improvement in the rendered draw distance that is due to the newer system's greater memory bandwidth. But not all older games may be able to display these enhancements. There are some older game versions that do not perform that well in an emulated environment. Such games often exhibit a lower frame rate on the Xbox 360 than on the originals Xbox.

Before one can play emulated games on the Xbox 360, a hard drive and an emulation profile may be needed in order to play original Xbox games. There are updated emulation profiles that can be obtained through Xbox live. Emulation profiles can also be obtained by burning the profiles downloaded from Xbox.com into a CD. One can also do it by ordering an update emulation profile disc from microsoft.

There is a full list of Xbox 360 backward-compatible games maintained at Xbox.com which includes over 298 exciting game titles which is about 30 percent of the total Xbox game library. microsoft intend to release more emulation profiles to the gaming public as they become available, with grand plans to make the entire Xbox library playable on the Xbox 360 game console.

Let me tell you a true story... Last December I was in Beijing, China. It was freezing cold and as I was walking back to my luxury hotel room one night, I saw a woman sat by the side of the road.

She had a flimsy blanket and she was repeatedly re-arranging it over and over again in a futile effort to keep the cold at bay.(It was snowing hard).

I looked closer and saw that under the blanket, something was moving. It was a little boy - about 2 years old.

I walked back to a restaurant and bought some food for her and her child.

When I gave her the food she started to cry. As I tried to feed her son I saw that he was too weak to eat. She looked into my eyes and said ten words that will stay in my memory forever; "My Son will be dead by the morning, won't he?"

The Lesson: You are most likely nowhere near as hard done by as you think. Go and find someone like this woman that you can help. Help regularly. It will make you 'count your blessings'.

4. WATCH YOUR TALK.

The good book tels us 'Life and death are in the power of the tongue!'

Talk positively.
Talk to yourself.
Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are great at what you do.

Use your words to edify, strengthen , encourage and inspire not just yourself but all those around you.

Stop and think for a moment... Do YOU enjoy hanging out with bitter, negative, 'gloom and doom' people? Of course you don't!

Make a 'Conscious Decision' that for the next 30 days you will speak positively about and TO everyone that you meet.

Trust me you will see a direct connection between your positive speaking and your sales results!

5. FOCUS ON MARKETING! Want to know a jealously-guarded secret of most top salespeople? They have a laser-focus on marketing.

They don't just TALK about marketing - they consistently DO something about it. Talk is dirt cheap. Actions count in selling.

TRY THIS: Start using a Daily 'To Do' list and keep a record of every specific 'lead-generating activity' that you do on a daily basis.

If you are anything like the 'average' salesperson, you will be astonished at how little you do.

You will quickly identify lead-generating opportunities. I suggest that you prepare a comprehensive list of your lead-generating systems. Measure the ones that you are actually applying and note how much and how often you apply them.

6. TRACK AND MEASURE EVERYTHING.

I have written sales copy for over 500 different offline companies and scores of website owners.

It has never ceased to amaze me how many of them are flying blind.

Fact: If you can't measure it - you can't control it' and odds are that you will never improve it.

Here's another fact for you. Highly effective sales people don't leave stuff to chance. They are diligent.

I don't care what system you use to track and measure your results. But if you aren't tracking and measuring your results - identifying what doesn't work and dropping it, working hard on the stuff that does to constantly improve it - then please forgive my totally politically incorrect language... you are an idiot.

And you will always be a mediocre salesperson at best.

When you measure results, you will not have a positive attitude problem. Your attitude will go through the roof!

For instance, I have one website that invites people to subscribe to one of my Internet Newsletters, that has close to a 100% optin rate. (and no that is far from normal).

Can you imagine how good I feel each time I tie a promotion into THAT site? I have measured the results so I know what to expect.

NOTE: There is NOTHING quite a stupid in business as salespeople who don't keep track of what works.

Perhaps you have heard the old saying; "Half our marketing works - we just don't know which half!"

- - Garbage!
- - Hogwash!
- - Ignorant twaddle!

Start tracking and measuring your activities and you will know exactly what works and your positive attitude will explode as a result!

7. HAVE A LIFE PURPOSE. It has always struck me as strange that so many people live life with all it's great potential with little or no purpose.

Your filtration systems must all remove the proper percentage of contaminants, as must your purifiers. You cannot sell a filtration system and make claims that it purifies water. All must meet EPA requirements.

If you are not directly involved in manufacturing water purifier and filtration systems, the difference between purifiers and filtration systems may seem minimal. It may seem as though it doesnt matter whether you purchase a purifier or a water filtration system. At a glance, removal of 99.99% or 99.99999% of contaminants may not look like a huge difference.

What it means, however, is that a purifier must be one thousand times (1000x) as effective as a filtration system! To put it another way, you have a choice as to how clean you want your water. Are you content to remove just 1 bug from your water glass, and leave 999 bugs in there? Challenge to Manufacturers

Our challenge to manufacturers is to make clean water available to all who need it. People in those countries urgently need filtration systems, whereas we in developed countries have very potable water flowing from our municipal water supply. Those in need often cannot afford clean water, though, given the current costs of manufacturing water purifier and filtration systems.

Manufacturers need to couple their desire for profit to humanitarian compassion, and create ways to provide purifiers, or at least filtration systems, at much lower cost.

Arrive at the golf course 10 minutes early. Use this extra time to sink some puts on the practice green. You will then have an idea what conditions the greens will be in for that time of day. golf greens perform very differently under different conditions.
Relax. The hard part is over. You have made it to the green. Take you time to look over the green and create a putting plan to get your ball in the hole. Think about how you are going to make your '2 puts'.
Treat every put the same. Unlike your other clubs, virtually every put will be taken with the same stance. practice your stance until you don't need to think about it. Use the same stance and set up for every shot.
Create a putting procedure. This extends from the last point. Create a mental list of what you do when you arrive at the green and how you address the ball for every shot. Do you take your glove off. Where do you put the rest of your clubs. Do you squat down to asses the slope of the green. Don't create surprises for yourself. Make every green the same as the last.
Slow down. There is no need to hurry on the green. Remember to go through your putting sequence on each shot.

Remember that for such a seemingly simple part of the game, putting can be many golfers biggest problem. Maybe because is should be simple and golfers are too relaxed about paying specific attention to this part of their game.

If you work hard at your putting, there is no reason why you could not shave 7-10 stroke off your game easily.

The sight of blue lupine growing wild by the side of the road. The sound of crickets humming on a hot, summer day while you read in the hammock. The smell of sumac as you hike on a local trail. The taste of freshly cut watermelon. The feel underfoot of the tide rushing back out to the sea.

These are treats mostly relegated to a few summer months. We spend more than half the year eagerly anticipating these simple pleasures, and then rarely have the quiet moment or luxury of extended empty hours to truly enjoy what was so expected and natural when we were children.

Another special summer childhood adventure was overnight camp. Remember the fear at arrival with all the nervous worries? Who are these other kids? What is expected of me? I dont know if I can do it

And then a week or two later, the fear was always replaced with mastery of new sports like sailing or archery, confidence in newly acquired outdoor living skills such as building fires or identifying edible berries, and camaraderie of new friends.

Nintendo Revolution Controller - Gimmick Or Innovation?

I always find it amusing that the word "gimmick" is slapped on nintendo innovations in gaming while companies like microsoft and Sony who actually add gimmicks that have nothing to do with gaming such as media functions to play music and video never seem to be labeled with the same term

With the unveiling of the Nintendo Revolution controller earlier this year, many people have expressed their skepticism. Some people feel that the controller lacks practically and will not be able to function effectively with games, while more harsh critics believe the controller is nothing more than a gimmick.

The company that tries to improve or innovate gaming is not a "gimmick". A "gimmick" is adding features that have nothing to do with gaming.

Wikipedia defines a gimmick as a unique or quirky special feature that makes something "stand out" from its contemporaries. Product gimmicks are sometimes considered mere novelties, and not really that relevant to the product's functioning.

It is no secret that there are more people using the PSP as a media player instead of a portable gaming console. Even in PSP television ads, Sony stresses how the console is so much more than just a hand held gaming system. Is the ps2 adding dvd playing functionality; is that a gimmick? The xbox 360 is adding media Center extension from a PC; is that a gimmick?

Moreover nintendo have taken many risks in developing technology, - light guns, power-pad, power-glove, game Boy, virtual boy, DS, nintendo 64 controller, etc.

Some failed horribly, while others completely changed the market, but the important thing is that nintendo has tried to develop new ways to entertain us. This is much more than you can say for microsoft who has admittedly and repeatedly waited for others companies to experience the financial pains of innovation and then copied them when there was a proven market - DOS, Windows, xbox etc. The bottom line is, these companies will simply never take the risks nintendo is willing to.

Of course nintendo is attempting to make a profit, but it is pretty apparent that they also have an interest in innovation and creating products which are fun and entertaining.

Developing products in a proven market is just good business. But we have to remember that at one point, risks are taken in order to develop new products. Most often in the video game industry, nintendo is the one taking the risks.

Lake Erie Football Season

Fall normally means the beginning of football season. To the Lake Erie bass angler it means jumbo-size, `football' shaped smallmouth bass. August to late October/November is when Lake Erie's fat-n-sassy bronzebacks begin to put on the feed bag and begin to stock up for winter. now is the time to catch one of the lake's best game fish and certainly regarded by many as Erie's best battlers.

With the unexpected introduction of the Zebra Muscle in the late 80's, the Lake Erie Smallmouth Bass really took off into something just short of spectacular. With the cleaner and clearer water resulting from the zebra muscles, bass will encounter with a vengeance any preferred bait when presentedcorrectly. Tip: Smallmouth bass are generally sight feeders. Which means once the bass visualize it's prey, it will attack and devour. Unlike Lake Erie walleyes, smallmouth generally are not boat shy and are not bothered bysunlight. This makes them an accommodating and easy target when located in both shallow and deep water most any time of the day.

Catching Lake Erie Smallmouth Bass takes nothing more then a bait box of soft-shell crayfish, a bucket of minnows, leeches, or a tackle box of properly selected artificial's (tube baits, crankbaits, spinners, etc.). While you can anticipate summer walleyes to roam the open, deep water flats, smallmouth preferhard structure. Bass in most cases are easy to locate. If you can find rocks,you'll find smallmouth.

Tip: A little pre-planning with a lake chart, a couple minutes of questions at the bait shop, or simply book a charter and pick your captain's brain for information, will remendously add to your success. Remember to always have a game plan whensmallmouth or "Jumper" fishing.

Some great areas to begin searching for fall Smallmouth Bass would be around the famous Bass Islands, Kelley's Island, Ruggles Beach off Huron, and of course the angler's choice at Pelee Island in Ontario waters. Tip: Remember whenlocating bass they are territorial fish. Smallmouth rarely roam open waters and will not migrate twenty miles like walleyes do each fall. When the bass move, they tend go deeper or even shallower around their home! If you find structure that is good for bass, expect to find them in the neighborhood again and again within close proximity on your next trip or even next season. If you locate a prime bass spot mark it with your Loran/GPS, landmarks or a means that will allow you to return another day. Good smallmouth spots aren't here today, gonetomorrow like walleyes! Keep in mind you'll not want to tell other serious bass anglers!

Once you have located a suspected prime bass hide-out, where do you begin? You have to decide if your going to anchor or drift. Drifting is preferred and you can drift with any bait that can be presented to a hungry smallmouth bass. If it's to windy in the area your fishing or your boat drifts so fast to properly present your bait, anchor safely at your spot and fish your areathoroughly. To cover more water while anchored, occasionally release or bring in anchor line. It's best either to fish shallow then move out to deeper water or deeper to shallow water, never in-between. This important step allows you towork over areas to eliminate unproductive waters. Tip: There is never any water to shallow or to deep for smallmouth. Any day of the fall season smallmouth could be found in any depth ranging from a shallow 8ft. to a deep 30ft. or at adepth in-between. Locate a good school of bass and to duplicate the drift each time, drop a marker at the beginning and at the end of your drift. This will keep you in preferred water and allow you to be more productive.

Markers or floats that are visible to boats are like a blue-light special. They tend to attract alot of people looking for a bargain or your easy fish! Tip: When in a crowd or around unwanted uncourteous anglers is to use your Loran/GPS to mark your spot when you reset your drift.

When fishing live bait such as soft-shelled crayfish, minnows, or leeches, you'll need proper hooks and have sinkers of various weights. Use of a sharp #1 to #4 hooks are the most common. Due to the rocky structure and occasional snags, wire hooks work best. The type of weight you use is optional. Slipsinkers, wrap around sinkers, and rubber core sinkers all work well. Placement of the weight should be 12" to 18" minimum above the bait for best results. Tip: Use only enough weight to keep the bait near the bottom. To big of weight for the conditions will result in lost strikes from the fish feeling theweight and dropping the bait before the hook set.

To avoid loosing bait to snags and bottom, drop your baited offering over the side of the boat until you feel bottom, shut the reel and simply fish. Remember, smallmouth are not boat shy! You'll often catch them right under your driftingboat! Occasionally lift and lower the bait to allow for extra movement similar to perch fishing. Wait for the pickup, feel the weight of the fish for a second, and set the hook! Tip: When using live bait, don't set the hook to hard. Inother words, don't use what I refer to as the "Bassmaster Whack". Use just your lower arms, keep the line tight, and have a correctly set drag. To much hook set with a heavy action rod can pull the bait and hook right out of the fish's mouth. To tight of drag will cause many broken lines or pulled hooks.Keep your drag on the loose side. Don't be greedy when the hard-fighting fish need line. In most cases your only lip hooking the fish. A good rod of choice would be nothing heavier them med/med-heavy or a rod action with a moderate to fast tip spooled with 6 to 10 lb. test line. If you do miss a strike,immediately drop your offering back. Many times there's competition for food within the bass community and there may be following fish which may strike any offering remaining on the hook. Tip: Bass anglers should constantly check yourline for nicks or cuts resulting from zebra muscles. These small scratches will weaken your line and you'll breakoff many fish! You are fishing a bottom covered by the muscles. Line can be weaken by the sharp edges of the mollusks shell. After each fish is landed, run your finger over the line a couple inches above the weight to the hook to check for bad areas. I've seen many big fish lost to damaged line.

In the Fall months, smallmouth generally prefer a more natural live bait presentation. As the water begins to cool, bass begin the stock up for the long winter. This is when these little `footballs' put on the weight and really show their muscle. If the angler is hardy enough, and doesn't mind missing alittlehunting, the angler can catch a real trophy. The 1994 fall Smallmouth Bass season was spectacular with the average fish falling between 14" to 16", with many over 17 to 21 inches and four pounds plus! Why miss out on the "best" of the "best" when it comes to fishing Lake Erie.Lake Erie's fall football season is just around the corner.

The xbox 360 game console is exemplary when it works. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Some gamers may experience a hardware failure with their xbox 360. Symptoms that an xbox 360 might be malfunctioning is a red circle that appears on the console; this is known as the Red Ring of Death. The worst part about this fiasco was that microsoft knew beforehand they were selling defective xbox 360s to consumers; moreover, Microsoft fabricated statistics.

game developers for the xbox 360 divulged that merely 5 % of consoles were faulty. The correct percentage of faulty xbox 360s was 25 %. Why the hell would microsoft even attempt to do this? First microsoft sold imperfect hardware; furthermore, they tried to cover their tracks with deceit.

The dreadful publicity has definitely harmed Microsofts image, but they are selling xbox 360s. Sony and nintendo game consoles work perfectly fine, but the xbox 360 has this Red Ring of Death. At E3 2007, Sony should have played the Red Ring of Death card on microsoft. But Sony decided to take the high road and not heavily criticize microsoft.

To remedy the Red Ring of Death, an xbox 360 nyko cooler has been utilized in conjunction with the system; however, the dreaded Red Ring of Death still appears. It was later discovered that the nyko cooler exacerbates the hardware crash. Meanwhile, other gamers have even gone as far as to manually open their xbox 360 and solve this problem. Gamers should never has to perform this cumbersome task to solve any console mishaps.

Microsoft has taken steps to rectify this hardware malfunction. The company has extended the warranty on the xbox 360 to three years and plans to spend over 1 billion dollars to resolve the blunder. Is that enough? Extending to a three year warranty is like putting a band-aid on a bullet wound, and it is definitely not enough. A quick fix that microsoft should enforce immediately is to have a free lifetime warranty with the xbox 360. This will neutralize many gripes about the Red Ring of Death. xbox 360 designers plan on creating a new xbox 360 without this glitch, but microsoft has not stated when that will transpire. Gamers can only hope that microsoft appeases its customers.

However taking a short break to complete a few simple yoga postures at your desk can help to relieve stress and tiredness and refresh you for another work session.

Office yoga part 1

Start by vigorously rubbing your hands together until you feel warmth on your palms. Place your hands on your face with your palms cupping your eyes and your fingers on your forehead making sure that no light gets to your eyes. Hold your hands here with your eyes open and relaxed to relieve eye muscle tensions and eye strain related headaches.

Nadi Shodhana (alternate breathing)

Sit comfortably in your chair with your back tall and straight. Hold your right hand in front of your face with the middle two fingers resting between your eyebrows. Your thumb should be above your right nostril and your ring finger above the left. Close your right nostril with your thumb and breathe in slowly and silently through your left nostril, until your lungs are full without straining. Release the right nostril and close the left nostril with your ring finger. Exhale through the right nostril slowly, keeping the duration of the exhale the same as the inhale. Inhale slowly through the right nostril. Release the left nostril and close the right nostril with your thumb while you exhale. Repeat the sequence 10 times making sure that your breathing is silent.

Mushtika Bandhana (Hand Clenching)

Hold your arms out straight in front of you at shoulder height, palms down, stretching the fingers wide. Close your hands into a fist with the thumb held inside, as you slowly exhale. Slowly inhale as you open your hands and stretch your fingers. Repeat 10 times.

Manibandha Naman (Wrist Flexing)

Holding your arms straight out in front of you, at shoulder level palms down. Inhale as you slowly bend your hand backwards, fingers pointing towards the ceiling. Exhale as you slowly bend the wrist downwards, fingers pointing towards the floor. Repeat 10 times

Manibandha Chakra (Wrist circling)

Hold your right hand straight out in front of you at shoulder level, making a fist with the thumb tucked inside. Rotate the hand in a clockwise circular motion, making as large a circle as possible while keeping the elbow straight and still, keep your breath slow and smooth. Make 10 circles in a clockwise direction, then 10 in the opposite direction. Repeat with the left hand. Alternatively you can work both hands at the same time.

Kehuni Naman (Elbow Bending)

Hold your arms straight out in front of you at shoulder level hand open with the palms facing upwards. As you exhale, bend your arms at the elbow and touch your shoulders. Inhale as you straighten your arms. Repeat 10 times.

Skandha Chakra (Shoulder rotation) Hold your arms out sideways at shoulder level, bend your elbows and touch your shoulders with your fingers. Rotate your arms in a clockwise direction, making sure that your elbows touch your chest, ears and sides as you make the circle. keep your breath slow, inhaling as your arms move up, and exhaling as your arms move down. Make 10 complete rotations then repeat in the opposite direction.

Greeva Sanchalana (Neck Movements)

Sit comfortably facing forward with your eyes closed. Exhale as you lower your head trying to touch your chin to your chest. Inhale as you lift your head backwards as far as possible without straining. Repeat 10 times.

Sit comfortably facing forward, eyes closed. Without turning you neck, exhale as you lower your head to the right, trying to touch your right ear to your right shoulder. Breathe in as you raise your head and exhale as you lower it to the left side. Repeat 10 times.

Sit facing forward, eyes closed. Inhale as you turn your head to the right to look over your right shoulder. Inhale as you return to center. Exhale as you turn to the left to look over your left shoulder. Repeat 10 times.

In the same position eyes closed, rotate your head in a clockwise circular motion bringing you head down, to the right, backward and to the left. Exhale as you move your head down, inhale as you move your head up.

Good stories do appear on the news, but how many depressing stories will you have to mentally process before you find one. The old saying, Bad news sells, often applies. There are plenty of good magazines to read, radio stations to listen to, and television channels to watch, so be selective.

In the quest for weight loss, the diet industry puts a lot of attention on what we eat but focusing on why we eat may be more important.

after losing over 70 lbs. permanently and becoming a weight loss coach for others, I've found most people have a pretty good idea of what they should eat. We have no problem categorizing foods into healthy and non-healthy lists. But ask someone why they eat and the usual response is "hunger." Unraveling the deeper reasons beneath the pre-emptive response of "hunger" may take a little detective work!

Here are a few things that might be lurking beneath the surface of hunger. Keep in mind that the categories can overlap and coexist!

Learned Behavior

Some people learn behaviors at an early age and never question them. A good example is milk and cookies at bedtime or a larger-than-usual meal on Sunday nights. We rarely think about Learned Behaviors, we simply do them unconsciously. However, the calories still count!

Availability of food

Imagine you ate a satisfying breakfast. You don't feel hungry at all. Then, someone brings donuts to work. Imagine further that you don't even like the type of donuts that appeared! How many times would you eat them anyway? Nine out of 10 times? Availability of food can be a real quagmire along the weight loss route, especially in the United States where food is abundant and relatively inexpensive.

Cravings

Cravings for food are chemical. For example, when the brain needs serotonin, the brain causes carbohydrate cravings. When blood sugar levels are low, we may crave sugary or sweet foods. When we experience cravings, eating what we crave will satisfy the body for a very short time, then the craving will return full force. protein is actually a better choice when intense desire occurs because it will break the craving cycle.

Emotional eating

food can dilute, soften or dull emotions we term "unpleasant" like anger, resentment, frustration, guilt and hatred. Even emotions we label "desirable" can be so intense, food may be used to dull the feeling back into a manageable or tolerable level. Prime emotions for this type of eating are joy, happiness, desire, elation and excitement.

At other times, we may eat to substitute for a lack of feeling. A good example of this is boredom. Eating when you are bored can bring on feelings of self-hatred, humiliation, and shame, but the bored, empty feeling is gone!

Habits

A habit is a stable behavior formed through repetition over time. Many people ask how this is different than Learned Behavior. The difference is that Learned Behaviors are learned from other people, usually family, and have a long history. We are solely responsible for forming Habits. The good news is that good habits are as easily formed as bad habits.

Social Eating

It is rare to socialize in any way today in America without the involvement of food. Watching a football game at a neighbor's house, meeting friends you haven't seen for a while: these things don't need the involvement of food but it usually becomes an integral part of any social plan. This often intersects with Availability of food. It might be wise to ask yourself if you are really hungry or just eating because it seems the acceptable and expected thing to do.

Environmental Eating

Does a visit to the ball park always mean hot dogs? Does a movie have to include 2000 calories of popcorn? Certain environments trigger eating that is unhealthy. Sometimes it can be any environment that is not home. For instance, do you always eat more than necessary when dining in a restaurant?

Hunger

Hunger, true hunger, is another reason to eat. And, ideally, it's the only reason. Humans were designed to eat to fuel their bodies. Fuel to survive. Fuel for the massive amounts of maintenance, healing and growth our bodies accomplish every day.

The first step in straightening out a negative eating style is to be able to recognize the why as it's happening.

It may take a bit of work to get to the point where true hunger can be recognized but we'd all be thinner and healthier if we ate only when we were hungry.

Analog service is similar to FM radio in that modulating radio signals carry information such as voice or data. The receiver and transmitter must be tuned to the same frequency within a small band width for the receiver to rebuild the signal, amplify it, and send it to the speaker. There are limitations on the number of channels that can be used making this technology soon to be outlived. Effective February 2008, many wireless providers will be discontinuing support of this service.

digital service is a method similar to computers, in that it uses binary code of Os and 1s. Most new wireless phones and networks use digital technology. The analog signal in digital is converted into binary code and transmitted as a series of on and off transmissions. There are three digital wireless technologies, CDMA, TDMA and gsm and I will explain these three as phones that work with one may not work on another.

TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) was released in 1994; it uses the frequency bands available to the wireless network and divided them into time slots with each phone user having access to one time slot at regular intervals. In North America TDMA uses both 800 MHz and 1900 MHz bands. Most of the major wireless carriers use TDMA.

CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) technology dates back to the 1940s, when it was developed for military use because it was resistant to interference from enemy signals. Known as spread spectrum technology this technology was restricted to military use and top secret during world War 2. In the 1980s the commercial use of this technology was realized after a 1976 publication of Spread Spectrum Systems by Robert Dixon was published.

Previous publications were classified military reports or narrow subtopics on academic papers. By 1993 CDMA was accepted as a standard and went into operation in 1996. CDMA also exists at both the 800 MHz and 1900 MHz band, and is used by the major carriers.

gsm (Global system for mobile Communications) is based upon an improved version of TDMA technology. In 1982, a conference in Europe created a digital standard to allow users to roam from country to country in Europe. By 1987, the gsm standard was created based upon both analog and TDMA digital technologies. Using wider 200 kHz channels instead of the 30 kHz channels TDMA used along with other modifications they were able to speed up the bit rate with a more natural sounding voice-compression algorithm.

This also enabled gsm to provide such other data services as email, fax, internet browsing, and internet/LAN wireless access. The gsm standard was accepted in the United States in 1995 and is the only phone that can be used around the world. This technology will be the bases of future growth in the wireless phone industry as it offers the multifunction capabilities todays users require.

The advice I give in this article is aimed specifically at golfers that score over 90 for 18 holes of golf. But if you score under 90 for 18 holes you'll still find the advice I give you here valuable....so keep reading.

What you need to work on to score better is the following and this list is from the highest priority to the lowest

1. Putting

2. Chipping

3. pitching

4. Bunker Shots

5. Driving

6. irons

7. Fairway woods

You should work on improving your putting first because if you normally have 38 putts per round and you improve by 5 putts per round you've just knocked 5 shots off your score. This same philosophy applies to chipping and pitching. The more you can improve those two aspects of your game the better you'll score. And finally, you must get really good at bunker shots.

Now when you're practicing putting you should mainly work on distance control. So practice longer putts first and then leave the shorter putts till last. But don't practice your putting for too long. Just get some good feel for distance and then go and practice your chipping and pitching.

And when practicing your chipping you should concentrate on landing the ball where you want and then assessing how far it's going to roll to the hole. Then select a club that will be the most efficient at getting the golf ball close. Then when you practice your pitching you should mix up the distances you practice from so that you get a good feel for distance control. But experiment. Make practice fun. Play some games. And this applies to bunker shots as well.

Play some bunker shots out of unusual lies. For example, play a shot that's plugged, play another shot where you have to stand out of the bunker but the ball is in the bunker. Just have some fun. Even try a "Seve" and get out your 3-iron and try to get the ball out of the bunker with that. This will force you to use your imagination.

If you just worked on these four areas of your game consistently then your score will drop. It has to. Because it's been scientifically proven that shots inside 100 yards make up about 70% of golf. So therefore it makes sense to work on that part of the game the most.

Unfortunately most golfers work on their game the reverse of what I'm saying, and I suppose that's why there is so many "DRIVING RANGES" around! So remember this 70% practice rule when you next go out to practice and if you spend all of your practice time hitting long shots and you're not improving, then don't say I didn't warn you!

What are you doing? I mean it. What are you doing and why?

Are you just doing what you think will get you ahead in life? Out of your current stuck rut? Everybody breathe...again, and deeper. Now one more time...

I used to hate it when therapists, coaches, yoga teachers etc. would do all these breathing exercises during my time with them. "What a waste" I used to think...can't we just "Get on with things, I have a lot to do/discuss/process etc."

So here we are, breathing together and deeper. Slowing the swirling pace of life down. Being present in our bodies, in tune with our hearts, and anchored in our bellies. Yes, women, in the exact same place that babies are birthed, is where you too must birth your dreams, your desires, your dance with life.

I know that at numerous stages in my life, I've applied for so many things I didn't even want...but I sure thought I did at the time! This absurd pattern started with colleges. I kept applying to one university in particular, not because I liked the school or the city it was in, but because my friends were going there and it "sounded" good. Next, I'd go after guys that I wasn't truly interested in. (This is an article in and of itself!) After that I'd apply for jobs that I didn't really want. Those, of course, were easy to justify, "I needed to work" "It pays the bills" "It includes health insurance" "I should take this job" "It's a good opportunity" "It'll look good on my resume". Recently I found myself doing the SAME thing...

Going after things I thought I should do, sounded practical, could probably work out etc. Yesterday I decided to breathe...deeply. Today I decided to ONLY go after what I REALLY want. The people, projects and experiences that absolutely light me up! I have not taken a vow to be a martyr, and if you look close it could appear that way. (At least until yesterday!)

This whole "going for what I want idea" is interesting. It certainly is opposite to the way I was taught to live life. But many of the ways I've been taught don't work for me. So, today, it's me and God.

Closer than ever, going slower than ever. I'm breathing and asking, "what's next?"; versus being the CEO of rushing nowhere fast.

Today, I'm trusting that if I go for what I truly desire, it will feel good in my body and thrill my soul; and that is where God and I dance. I'm not taking a practical route! I'm jumping on the love train...loving myself, loving my God, and loving and trusting that I'm being directed to where I will be used for His purpose. It is in this divine joy that I switch from longing to living. Here are the 7 steps to go after what you really want:

1. Stop, breathe deeply and be present. 2. Let your desire surface. 3. Trust that extraordinary experiences and provision are meant for you. 4. Give yourself permission to go for what you REALLY want. 5. Start having fun with your life. 6. Call 3 people and share with them the great news of what you're doing. 7. Get to work...your life is waiting for you to arrive!
